not to come out a little early for a FREE breakfast before Sunday School. The whole church is invited! We are going to use this as a time to update our records and class rosters. But, and most importantly; this is a chance for you….and you know who you are...who don’t come to Sunday School for whatever reason...to get a bite to eat and register for your new class! Come out and give Sunday school a try and see what you are missing. We have classes for every age group and children LOVE Sunday school! The time is going to be Next Sunday, September 7th from 9:30 to 10:15 am; with a shortened Sunday school following. Fellowship Supper in honor of our Missions Groups

Wednesday, September 17th at 6:00 pm

Make plans now to join your church family for spaghetti, salad, rolls and desserts as we honor the different missions organizations and believers within our church who do so much to spread the Good News to those who are lost and need Jesus. The cost of the meal will be on a donation basis with all money collected going toward the Janie Chapman Offering. The meal will begin at 6:00 and the program will begin at 6:30. However, if you can’t make it by 6, don’t let that stop you from coming out and enjoying this time of Christian fellowship. In addition to the different missions groups being recognized, the youth will tell us about their Summer mission trip to New Orleans. This is something you surely won’t want to miss!

Season or Prayer 2008

for State Missions and the Janie Chapman Offering

September 14-21, 2008

“Infusion,” that’s the theme for the 2008 Season of Prayer for State Missions and the Janie Chapman Offering. One definition of infusion is “a pouring in of something that gives new life or significance.” It is a word often heard in the medical field. A patient is given an infusion of medicines to improve his life and change his circumstances.

There are people all around us who need an infusion of the Good News—the love, the hope and the peace of God. This was Jesus’ mission on earth. Paul’s desire was to do everything he could to share the Good News with all people. This is also our mission from Jesus. According to statistics, almost 77% of the population in our state is “unchurched.” That means that about three million people living in South Carolina do not attend church on a regular basis. We have a giant mission field right at our own back door. The state mission offering goal for South Carolina is $2,000,000. Our goal at Antioch is $3,000. Please be generous as you can when you give. We need an infusion of the Good News across South Carolina.
